In Health we have been learning about Personal Hygiene. Dirty Bertie does not have good hygiene! He does all sorts of things and we are glad he's not in our class.
We have learnt why it is important to bathe, wear clean clothes, brush our teeth and hair, and most importantly wash our hands.
Washing our hand is something we can do at school to stop germs spreading and to help us remain healthy over winter.
Check out Louis' ideas about why we should keep clean and instructions on how to get dressed into your uniform so you come to see looking and smelling your best.

Room 10's Myths
Room 10 have been busy working on writing narratives this term. We have focused on Myths to tie into our topic of Exploration and looking at Maori myths about New Zealand.
We have been using our devices in new ways to show that we can achieve our learning goals. We have used Book Creator (https://bookcreator.com) to publish stories and to show how we can edit, use capital letters and fullstops.
Here are some super Myths by Cerys, Olivia and Liam.
How the Kea Became Green by Liam
How the Piwakawaka Got Fantail by Cerys
How the Tui Got White Feathers by Olivia
We haven't added pictures yet but hope to do this soon. We hope you enjoy our myths.

Music with Mrs Wong By Uliana and Olivia
On Wednesday we went to Room 9 to learn about music. We learned about beat and rhythm. We learned that big feet mean it’s a beat which means like a clock ticking not changing and the small feet mean that it’s a rhythm witch is a pattern that can change.

Art with Mrs Jacques
This Term Room 10 had lots of fun in the Arts.
We all had a great time doing Drama. We learnt to role play and how we can show expression on our faces and in our body language without having to make a noise. We particularly enjoyed "Hot Seating", where we would take on the personality of a character after reading a story and then the class would ask the characters questions.
During the second half of the term Room 10 continued the rotation and went to Mrs Jacques for painting. We learnt all about primary and secondary colours and created our own colour wheel. We then learnt how to mix and blend colours.
We learnt about Vincent Van Gogh and created our own masterpieces using Sunflowers and Starry, Starry night. We use our mixing and blending skills as well as using sponging, painting and pointillism to get different techniques.
